We are Artur Lenivenko trio, a jazz trio from Kharkov. Before the Russian invasion, this city was the biggest student and cultural center, foreigners constantly came here, and many jokingly called Kharkiv "Ukrainian New York." Now the area where I lived is in ruins, and instead of jazz, there is an air raid siren. Our bassist Alex, drummer Andrei and I left when it was no longer possible to stay because of the constant shelling. As Putin's propaganda openly says, they want to destroy not only our cities, but the very idea of being a Ukrainian. We have set ourselves the goal of preserving our culture. Fortunately, shortly before the war, we managed to record an album and even a short tour in Ukraine. This is completely original music. (Ссылка).
